Annbeth Eschbach’s Guide to New York City and Los Angeles

We asked exhale founder, CEO, and president Annbeth Eschbach where she likes to snack, drink, and relax in her home city of NYC, as well as in Los Angeles, where she finds herself frequently. Here are her top picks for eating well and winding down.

In New York City

Eataly is worth a visit anytime, but I never miss the annual truffle spree on Christmas Eve. The white truffle butter keeps the truffle party going long after the mushroom has been consumed.  My all-time favorite way to finish the weekend and get poised for a big week is the Sunday evening chill class at exhale Central Park South To get away from the scene but still feel very much alive, I drop into The Ship, a secret gem of a bar in Soho. • I like to eat the frites and quinoa salad at Cafe Luxembourg on the Upper West Side.

Cool Places in LA

In Los Angeles

Runyon Canyon is my favorite for an invigorating hike.  A yoga or barre class at exhale Santa Monica, followed by a glass of wine at The Fig, inside the Fairmont Miramar Hotel, is a different way to feel fit. • Burro is a cute spot in Venice where I shop for special coffee table books and gifts.  Scopa in the Marina has an incredible Brussels sprout salad; it’s fun to visit the speakeasy for drinks after dinner.  I like to start the day with soft scrambled eggs and new coffee delights at Paramount Coffee Project.

We’ve been getting words of wisdom from Eschbach all month. Earlier, she talked with The Fine Line about  her perspective on aging and how she built the exhale brand.
